Ram Gopal Varma’s zero budget movie Dongala Muta is all set to release on March 18th. This movie was launched on 9th Feb and completed the shooting on 13th Feb in just 5 days with a crew of only 7 people i.e. 5 Camera Men, Ram Gopal Varma and his Assistant . This film has not been shot on a 24 hour basis. It’s been shot on normal shifts that is from 9 am to 6 pm without a single shift being extended.
In a press meet RGV told to media that he used 5 Canon 5D cameras to capture every shot in multiple angles simultaneously, with absolutely no lights or additional equipment such as dollys, jimmy’s etc. The entire film has been shot hand-held and in natural light. The cameras are very small, they can be easily carried to anywhere. The actual production cost of the movie is just Rs 6,50,000. He added that the movie will be super hit if it runs successfully for at least one show. He said that if a director knows how to make a movie in 100 days, he can also know how a film can be made in just 5 days.
RGV said that, audience are ready to accept new concepts and varieties but technicians are not in a position to use these new technologies. He said that he is not doing this movie for Guinness Record. He wants to prove that the shooting of the movie can be completed with in 5 days.
Finally, he added that he will wait and see how audience receives the output of the movie. However, all the commercial elements are included in the movie with out any compromise with quality.
Ravi Teja, Charmi, Lakshmi Manchu, Brahmaji, Brahmanandam, Sunil , Prakash Raj and Subba Raju are the star cast in this film. Every artist and technician had worked for this film without taking a single rupee remuneration. They will only get the share among the profits.
Ram Gopal Varma is trying to bring a new trend in film industry with this movie.
